Why I Chose to Become a Rainbow Pride Celebrant
The reason I started Rainbow Pride Celebrant is because I believe in equal rites for same sex couples and I believe in Same Sex Marriage. No one in Queensland or to my knowledge elsewhere in Australia had created a dedicated celebrant site for GLBT couples and their families. It was time to take GLBT ceremonies out of the back of the celebrant site where it is relegated back with the minor ceremonies. Some have now followed in my footsteps. I look forward to the day when I can legally marry a gay or lesbian couple and register their marriage. That will truly be a day for celebration!

I am a member of the Professional Celebrants Association Inc. The association is a self-regulated professional body which sets standards for best-practice and fosters professionalism in celebrancy.The association has a detailed and stringent code to ensure that PCA members strive to uphold high standards of professional and ethical conduct and support the ideals of the celebrant profession.

I perform ceremonies in Gold Coast, Brisbane Byron Bay Northern NSW and in South East Queensland, Australia. I conduct ceremonies on a regular basis from Byron Bay in Northern Rivers region of NSW Brisbane and surrounds up to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I am happy to travel Australia wide to perform ceremonies.

A Lifetime of Experience Combined with Extensive Experience as a Celebrant Results in Civil Union With The WOW Factor!
I have a lifetime of experience in public speaking, creative writing, dramatic performance and direction, event management, communication, tourism, lecturing & training. I have organised events and public meetings for up to a thousand people and addressed them and facilitated workshops. I have performed as an actor in productions before crowds of eight hundred people and am very comfortable working with intimate or large groups from all walks of life and can engage them all equally well. My experience as a writer and director in theatre allows me to choreograph the ceremony I write for your wedding to get the best photos and the most intimate connection between you and your family and friends and produce a seamless ceremony that has your guests totally intrigued. My work and life experiences have given me a raft of skills and knowledge. I have a vast general knowledge through study, research and reading and personal travel and experiences with different cultures. I have unbounded enthusiasm, a bubbly personality and emotional intelligence and I am guided strongly by my intuition.

A Lifetime of Travel for Work and Adventure
I have travelled the world for work and pleasure and bring those amazing experiences to you in unique and special sub ceremonies. I also specialise in spiritual conscious sacred weddings.(not religious). I studied a variety of Asian history, traditions and religions at Sydney University.
I am adventurous, curious and intrigued by different cultures and their traditions. I have travelled alone and independently to Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras and Belize in Central America and USA and Canada, Greece, Germany, Italy Holland, Spain, France, England, Austria, and Thailand and travelled with friends and family to Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Nepal and New Zealand and many Pacific Islands.
I worked as a teacher / senior lecturer for Aboriginal Trainee Teachers in Numbulwar in South Eastern Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory for three years. Numbulwar is a very remote settlement only accessable by bulldust dirt roads with no signs 3 hours from Darwin by 3 or 5 seater light aircraft . The Aboriginal people are the traditional owners of the land and speak the Nunggubuyu Language. I also worked in the United States for a year on a cultural exchange in a small community in North Carolina.

My Personal Interests
My passions all involve elements of creativity, dancing in many styles including Lindyhop Salsa Rock & Roll Ballroom, Acting in Theatrical Productions Drama Comedy Pantomime and Mime, World and local Travel, Community Development, Art - Sculpture, Painting and Graphic Design, Bushwalking, Scuba Diving (I have my advanced certificate if you would like an underwater wedding), Kayaking, Swimming and making my home an Oasis of Peace, Tranquility and Happiness from the hustle and bustle of the busy outside world.

Why I Chose to Become a Marriage Celebrant
I became a marriage celebrant because I found it such a buzz writing my own magical, fun and totally unique conscious wedding ceremony. My husband and I are two people who joined together on a journey of growth. Our love and trust keeps us together, our intuition guides us. We consult with each other, we are friends, we laugh a lot and we are equals who care as much about each other as ourselves!
